Strategy & Market Analysis
Ping has more than 15 years of experience in high technology in the areas of strategic marketing, sales, venture capital and engineering. Ping has been involved with several strategy projects including global strategic alliances management, merger and acquisition planning, market evaluation, and new business development.

Ping was most recently at VantagePoint Venture Partners, a major Venture Capital Firm. She researched and developed the firms' investment strategy in the communications, networking, and enterprise IT software sectors. For her areas of responsibility, she led the due diligence process, sourced new deals, worked with portfolio companies, developed market analyses, and expanded the firm's investment approach through industry alliances and participation.

Prior to venture capital, Ping held several leadership positions as VP of Product Marketing for Propel Software and a Director at Manage.com (now Cogency Software). Ping began her career at Hewlett-Packard where she served for 10 years in various channel sales, alliances, product management, and engineering roles. As a Global Account Channel Sales manager, she worked with the HP's selective global alliances program, generating over annual sales of $50M. She also led the initial development of HP's ISV program, working with hundreds of ISVs over several years in providing solutions to a broad range of industries. Her first role at HP was as a design engineer for the HP's first RISC workstation family.

Ping is currently President of the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California and serves on the board of a leading non-profit, Family Caregiver Alliance.

Ping holds an MBA from Harvard and a BSEE from Cornell University.
